About Me
Hi! I'm Brian Hsu — a Staff Software Engineer at a tech company in Silicon Valley, with a story that didn't start in a computer science classroom. My non-traditional pivot into tech has given me a firsthand understanding of what it takes to navigate career transitions, build software at scale, and lead with empathy. That journey also sparked a passion for community building: I run Pivot Software Engineer in Silicon Valley, where I share raw, first-hand career observations, and founded Taiwanese Referral Network — a referral network uniting over 400 overseas Taiwanese professionals to help talented people get better opportunities to apply, be seen, and find where they belong in the global tech industry.
